The Team
An exciting opportunity to join our engineering team who are at the heart of supporting data connectivity solutions to our customers.
The focus will be to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers in support of their network estates with a direct focus on firewalling and SDWan.
Role Summary
You will be part of the networking team responsible for supporting customers with complex firewalling solutions. The roll will include both the provisioning and support aspects of the firewall solutions we provide to our customers. We primarily focus on Palo-Alto and Forcepoint firewalls, but also have Cisco ASA’s, Sophos and Watchguard firewalls that we support.
The role includes mediating between customers, suppliers, resellers and internal teams via telephone and email, and updating Southern Communications internal CRM to ensure all cases are accurately tracked.
You will need good attention to detail coupled with a positive minded can-do attitude.
The ability to work on your own initiative is essential as you will be handling complex cases and taking ownership of issues.
Role Requirements
Desirable Criteria:
Experience of any of the following platforms would be an advantage
- MPLS and SDWAN
- Routing and Switching
- Web security and URL filtering
- Forcepoint or Checkpoint experience
- Unifi and similar wifi
- VMware, KVM and cloud solutions
- Certifications in either Cisco or Juniper a plus.
- Palo alto (or similar) certified
- Networking certified (CCNA or similar)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in firewall support role
